Adobe Design: How our team is using Adobe Firefly

We spoke with members of Adobe Design to see how they are using generative AI in their personal and professional projects through Adobe Firefly. Here are some examples:

  1. Lee Brimelow, Software Development Engineer, Design Engineering, uses Firefly to create unique Photoshop textures that can be used to add effects such as grunge or grain to photos. He feels generative AI is not meant to replace creative professionals but rather empower them to bring their designs to life.

  2. Davis Brown, Experience Designer, Digital Imaging, uses Firefly to generate photorealistic portraits, creating unique assets for demos. He finds it practical and an exhilarating part of his journey as an artist.

  3. Veronica Peitong Chen, Experience Designer, Machine Intelligence & New Technologies, used Firefly to create a visual theme for a presentation called Pivotal Moments, which aimed to share transformative moments from people's lives and careers. The process allowed her to fine-tune the results and experiment with visual elements to match her memory while effectively illustrating the story.

  4. Kelsey Mah Smith, Experience Designer, Machine Intelligence & New Technologies, uses Firefly to tell stories and convey concepts in her presentations. She generates textures, icons, and visual scenes to help support her stories and feels it has opened up possibilities for the types of stories she can tell.
