Changes to GitLab Support Ticket Creation Process

Starting on August 1, 2024, GitLab Support will require users to sign in to create support tickets. This change is being made to streamline the support process and provide more personalized assistance to customers.

Reasons for the Change

GitLab Support is implementing this change to pre-populate organizational information into tickets, making the support experience more efficient and tailored to each customer's needs.

Action Required

After making their first purchase, customers will need to create a login on support.gitlab.com and open a ticket to list support contacts or create a contact management project.

Impact on Existing Customers

Existing customers will only need to adapt to the new sign-in requirement. If they need to reset their password or set up a new one, they can do so by visiting https://gitlab.zendesk.com/auth/v2/login/password_reset.
