The Great .NET 8 Hack

Join us for The Great .NET 8 Hack, a virtual hackathon aimed at unleashing your creativity and coding skills with .NET 8. Whether you're a beginner, student, or expert, this is the perfect opportunity to build cloud native apps, AI apps or .NET MAUI apps with the latest version of .NET.

What is .NET 8?

.NET 8 is the newest release of the popular open source and cross-platform development platform that powers millions of apps across various domains. The latest version introduces exciting features and improvements including C# 12, ASP.NET Core 8.0, and .NET MAUI.

Themes and Duration

Participants will have two weeks to build their own .NET 8 app based on one of three themes: cloud native apps, AI apps, or .NET MAUI apps. You can participate individually or as a team with friends or colleagues.

Live Sessions and Experts

To help you get started and enhance your skills, we will host live sessions with experts from Microsoft, including Gaurav Seth and Diego Colombo. These experts will share their insights and tips on building awesome apps with .NET 8. Check out our GitHub repo for the schedule and more information about the sessions.

Prizes

The winners selected by our judges will receive exciting prizes, including a $500 cash prize for the Grand Prize winner, $100 Azure credits for the Best Intelligent Apps solution, and $100 Azure credits for the Best Cloud Native solution. Additionally, all hackathon participants who submit an app will receive a digital badge.
