.NET Framework April 2023 Cumulative Update Preview Updates

Microsoft has released the April 2023 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework, which includes the following quality and reliability improvements:

• Addresses issues with TextBox and RichTextBox in ControlTemplate.Triggers.
• Fixes Null Reference Exception for Datagrid and Gridview controls when reloading XPS documents after adjusting column width.
• Fixes Null Reference Exception when ToolTip is visible property is overridden to always be false.

For Windows 11, version 22H2, Microsoft has improved the .NET Framework update installing experience for optional Non sec updates, and the update is available via Windows Update and Microsoft Update Catalog. Advanced system administrators can also download the updates directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

The update includes the resolution to a known issue discussed in KB5022083, and any workarounds or mitigations are no longer needed.

Getting the Update

Windows 11, version 22H2 users can find the update in the Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates page. Before applying the updates, be sure to review the .NET Framework version applicability.
